I have more than fifteen years of experience in the law, with much of my practice focused on civil and criminal appeals. I have represented clients before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit, the Tenth Circuit, the California Supreme Court, and various state and federal trial courts. Prior to joining Zimmerman Booher, I spent six years teaching statutory interpretation, constitutional law, and administrative law at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law. I also served one year as a supervising attorney in the legal clinic at Georgetown Law. My research and writing focused on the role that courts play in our government, which gave me greater insights into the inner workings of the judicial system. These experiences have helped me develop and hone my ability to present information to critical audiences in the most accessible and compelling way. I particularly love appellate work because it combines my desire to tell my client's story with my passion for ensuring that the legal system reaches the correct outcome.
